Best Time to Visit Thailand: Weather by Month

Pick a region and a month to see what the weather is usually like, based on the Thai Meteorological Department's 30-year averages (1991–2020). The table below shows the whole year for every region.

How to read it

The figures are long-term averages, not a forecast. "Rainy days" counts days with at least 0.1 mm of rain, so a rainy day is often a short afternoon downpour. The Andaman coast (Phuket, Krabi) is wettest from May to October, while Koh Samui and the Gulf islands get most of their rain from October to December. In the north, February to April is the smoky season (the official data records haze on 27 days in an average March in Chiang Mai).
