Phuket Provincial Immigration is at 482 Phuket Road, Talad Yai, in Phuket Town, open Monday to Friday 08:30–12:00 and 13:00–16:30 and closed at weekends and on public holidays. Two smaller service points, in Patong and at Blue Tree in Thalang, open shorter hours, 10:00–12:00 and 13:00–15:00 on weekdays (official site, October 2026).

If you live on Phuket on a long-stay visa or extension, this is your office for yearly extensions, re-entry permits and in-person 90-day reports. Its website is one of the few provincial immigration sites that answered normally when we checked, and it lists the hours, the service points and several online services.

One detail first: the official address of the website is phuketimmigration.go.th. The pattern used by other provinces, phuket.immigration.go.th, does not exist, so a site at that address is not the office.

The main office on Phuket Road

The main office is in Phuket Town, the island's administrative center, not at the beaches. From the west-coast beaches such as Patong, Kata or Rawai, that is a drive across the island, so allow half a day. Most people come by Grab, by taxi or on their own scooter; if you ride, our article on renting a scooter in Phuket covers licenses and helmets. For the town itself, see our guide to Old Phuket Town.

The official page gives the hours as "8.30 a.m. - 12.00 a.m. 1.00 a.m. - 4.30 p.m.", an obvious typo for 08:30 to noon and 13:00 to 16:30. The office does not state when queue tickets stop. At Bangkok's immigration office, tickets stop an hour before closing, and many Thai offices work in a similar way, so do not plan to arrive after 15:00.

Closures are posted on the home page. The office announces extra closing days there, for example 12 August 2026 for the Queen Mother's Birthday. Check the home page and our public holidays calendar before a visit tied to a deadline.

The Patong and Blue Tree service points

Two smaller offices bring immigration closer to where people live. The Patong service point is at Patong Beach in Kathu district, and the Blue Tree service point is at 4/2 Srisoonthorn Road in Thalang, in the north of the island. Both open Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 15:00, and close at weekends and on public holidays.

Their pages do not say which services they offer. Before you go to one of them for anything more than a simple matter, phone the main office on 0 7622 1905 or the Patong point on 0 7634 0477 and ask. Otherwise you may find that your case can only be handled on Phuket Road. If you are choosing an area to live, our comparison of Phuket's beaches and the Phuket guide describe the options.

Online services and the business-visa queue

The office's site links several online services:

Business-visa holders have their own booking system for extensions, with strict rules. You book at least 10 days ahead. You then bring the documents to the office's 2nd floor for a pre-check at least 5 working days before the appointment, sorted in the order of the checklist; if you miss that step, the booking is cancelled. There are 8 slots a day and one booking per company at a time. The office notes that the system does not accept Microsoft or Yahoo e-mail addresses (such as Hotmail, Outlook or Live), and that on the day the application takes no more than 14 minutes. Walk-in queue tickets remain available if no slot suits you.

Business-visa bookings need a non-Microsoft, non-Yahoo e-mail address. The booking system rejects Hotmail, Outlook, Live and Yahoo addresses, according to the office's own instructions.

The work permit side of a business stay is covered in our guide to the Non-B visa and work permit.

Which procedure, which guide

The office handles the usual tasks for Phuket residents. Each has a guide on this site:

What to bring

The checklist depends on the procedure. Almost every visit needs the same core: the passport itself and photocopies of its key pages (identity page, the stamp that shows your present permission to stay, and the most recent arrival stamp), a filled-in form with photos, the fee, evidence for your reason to stay, and something showing your address, such as the TM30 receipt your landlord gives you. Keep your permission to stay valid while you prepare: our guide to overstaying explains what a late day costs. For the general pattern of Thai office hours and lunch breaks, see our page on government office hours.

Frequently asked questions

What are the opening hours of Phuket immigration?

The main office at 482 Phuket Road is open Monday to Friday, 08:30–12:00 and 13:00–16:30, and closed on Saturday, Sunday and national public holidays, according to the office's website in October 2026.

Is there an immigration office in Patong?

Yes, a service point at Patong Beach in Kathu, open Monday to Friday 10:00–12:00 and 13:00–15:00. Its page does not list the services offered, so phone 0 7634 0477 before you go.

What is the official website of Phuket immigration?

It is phuketimmigration.go.th. The address phuket.immigration.go.th, which follows the pattern of other provinces, does not exist, so be careful with look-alike sites and agents.

Can I book a queue at Phuket immigration online?

The office's site links an online queue booking, plus a separate system for business-visa extensions that must be booked at least 10 days ahead with a document pre-check. Walk-in queue tickets are still issued.
